In 2022, ImagineHealth began working with Germany-based Temos International, an independent healthcare accreditation organisation focused on medical travel and international patient management.

The relationship reflected a shared priority: international healthcare should be built around trust, quality and a well-managed patient journey - not price alone.

What accreditation can contribute

Accreditation provides a structured external assessment of an organisation’s systems and services. For providers serving international patients, that includes clinical and operational processes as well as communication, cultural considerations, continuity and the non-clinical experience surrounding care.

Preparing for assessment can also help teams identify gaps, clarify responsibilities and create more consistent ways of working.

A useful signal - not a guarantee

An accreditation certificate cannot guarantee an individual clinical outcome, and it should never replace appropriate medical evaluation or personal due diligence.

Its value is different: it shows that a provider has chosen to measure defined parts of its organisation against an external standard and open those processes to review.

Learning from both sides of the market

Supporting international standards also gave ImagineHealth a deeper understanding of the systems behind a strong international patient programme. That knowledge informed how we assessed providers and guided clients navigating care in Thailand.

The wider lesson remains relevant today: market reputation is strengthened when providers, facilitators and partners are willing to make quality visible and continuously improve the experience they deliver.
